2.2 Price Variations
The quoted price may be adjusted if, upon inspection, the Technician identifies any of the following:
-
Additional rooms or areas not included in the original estimate.

Heavy soiling or industrial-level contamination requiring specialised treatment.

All prices are exclusive of GST unless otherwise stated. GST will be added to the final invoice at the current applicable rate.
2.5 Room Definitions
-
A standard room is up to 14m².

A combined lounge/dining area is treated as two rooms.
3. Bookings and Cancellations
3.1 Booking Confirmation
Your booking is confirmed upon receipt of our confirmation. An indicative arrival window will be provided. We will endeavour to contact you if the Technician is running late; however delays caused by traffic, access issues or previous jobs running over time are outside our control and do not entitle you to a discount.
3.2 Cancellations and Rescheduling
-
Cancellations or rescheduling made more than 24 hours before the appointment are free of charge.
-
Cancellations or rescheduling with less than 24 hours' notice will incur a cancellation fee.
-
If our Technician attends the Premises and is unable to access the property or commence work due to your failure to attend or make the property available, a call-out fee will be charged.
4. Stain and Spot Removal
4.1 Included Stains
Standard spots and stains are included in the quoted cleaning price. Our Technicians carry a comprehensive range of professional stain treatment products.
4.2 Difficult Stains
The following types of stains may require additional specialist treatment and will be quoted separately before work commences:
-
Aged or set cordial, juice, or wine stains
-
Curry and oil-based stains
-
Rust stains
-
Urine (animal or human)
-
Coffee or tannin stains
-
Pharmaceutical preparations, acids, or bleach
4.3 No Guarantee of Stain Removal
We do not guarantee the complete removal of any stain. A stain that has set into carpet fibres may cause permanent dye change or bleaching, which cannot be reversed by cleaning.
4.4 Wicking / Stain Reappearance
On some occasions, stains or spillages may have penetrated through the carpet backing and into the underlay. These stains may reappear at the surface after cleaning through a process known as 'wicking'. The Company will not be held liable for stains that reappear due to wicking, as this is caused by the depth of the original spillage and not by our cleaning process.
5. Limitations of Service
5.1 Permanent Stains
We do not guarantee the removal of permanent stains, including those caused by: urine, curry, coffee, cordial, bleach, dyes, acids, or any substance that has caused irreversible discolouration of carpet fibres.
5.2 Pre-Existing Conditions
We will not be held responsible for any damage caused by pre-existing conditions that are not apparent upon visual inspection prior to cleaning. These may include:
-
Water-soluble or deteriorating carpet backing
-
Worn, frayed or splitting seams and joins
-
Fugitive or improperly set dyes from manufacturing
-
Pet urine or stains not visible upon initial inspection
-
Latent odours that become apparent following cleaning
5.3 Previously Dyed Carpets
Carpets or furnishings that have previously been re-dyed may experience colour loss or running during cleaning. We will not be held liable for such outcomes, as re-dyeing may not be visible during inspection.
5.4 Carpet Seams and Joins
No responsibility is accepted for damage to carpet seams, joins or tape bindings that may separate during the cleaning process. The latex used in carpet backings deteriorates over time and may loosen during cleaning.
5.5 Items Cleaned at Customer's Risk
On occasion, a Technician may advise that a particular item (e.g. certain natural fibre rugs, cotton sofas, or coir carpets) carries a risk of damage if cleaned. If you choose to proceed after receiving such advice, the Company will not be held responsible for any damage or unsatisfactory result.
5.6 Upholstery Without Cleaning Labels
All upholstered furniture in New Zealand is required by law to carry a fabric cleaning care label. If a label has been removed or is not visible to our Technician, we will not be held responsible for any damage arising from cleaning, as we are unable to follow the manufacturer's recommended procedure.
5.7 Wear and Deterioration
Deterioration, fading, heavy traffic wear, and physical damage to carpets cannot be rectified by cleaning.
6. Cleaning Standards and Methods
The Company cleans carpets and upholstery in accordance with New Zealand Standard AS/NZS 3733:2018 (Textile floor coverings – Cleaning and maintenance).
'Steam cleaning' and 'hot water extraction' refer to the same cleaning process. No actual steam is used. Hot water extraction uses heated water and professional extraction equipment to deep clean carpet fibres.
7. Our Service Guarantee
If you are not satisfied with any aspect of our service, please notify us within 5 days of the service date. We will return to re-clean any areas of concern at no additional charge. Our guarantee does not extend to:

9. Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 and applicable New Zealand law:
-
Our liability for any loss or damage arising from the provision of services is limited to the cost of re-performing the Service or refunding the price paid for the affected Service.
-
We are not liable for any indirect, consequential, or special damages.
-
Nothing in these Terms and Conditions limits your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or the Fair Trading Act 1986.
